CC Hockey laces up for fans

Honnen Ice Rink echoing with the sounds of skates and laughter today as the annual "Skate with the Tigers," event brought fun for fans and players alike.

"I got to skate with the Tigers and I've been watching since I was like one years old," said one young Tiger fan.

"It's fun, this is great. You kind of remember what it's all about when you see all these little kids just out here having fun. Brings back a lot of good memories," said Colorado College Assistant Captain, Alexander Krushelnyski.

The Tigers skated around with the future hockey stars and signed a few autographs as well, but are already focusing their attention to next weeks rivalry matchup with DU.

"We're playing a lot better right now, I think we're building off a lot of good things. And I think if we can just keep improving right now, during our last six games and try and make a little bit of a push into the playoffs it can only help us," said Krushelnyski.

Although competition weighed heavily on their minds the Tigers players say they enjoyed spending some quality time with the fans and can't wait until next year.
