Caucuses across Colorado begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday. You must be either a registered Republican or Democrat to participate in the caucuses.
A caucus is where the process begins for choosing candidates for key political positions this fall. At the caucus, participants will elect delegates for the county and state conventions. Participants may also be involved in "straw polls" to show which candidate people may be favoring for a certain race.
You can contact your county party headquarters or clerk and recorder's office to find out where your neighborhood caucus is.
News First 5 will be following a few of the caucuses throughout the night.
