Catholics world-wide observe Ash Wednesday

Catholics in Pueblo and around the world observed Ash Wednesday today. Bishop Fernando Isern lead services at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Pueblo.

Parishoners received ashes in the sign of the cross on their foreheads to symbolize their willingness to do penance for sins.

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lenten season, which runs through Easter.
