Some nasty weather will not dampen the enthusiasm of a major fundraising campaign in Colorado Springs.
Thursday night, people ran for cover when a huge storm rained out the initial launch of the "Freedom from Poverty" celebration sponsored by Catholic Charities.
With hopes of raising $20,000, the event was cancelled because of the nasty weather, but they remain positive.
Jason Christensen, President of Catholic Charities says, ''Colorado Springs has a very generous heart and people are very active, they get involved, they are a very caring community and it unfortunate that we had the weather and all that....we know it's gonna go on!''
