Cat killing suspect to face felony charges

Felony animal cruelty charges will be filed against a man accused of trapping and killing cats at a Colorado Springs mobile home park.
Dave Leisge admitted to News First 5 that he killed up to a half dozen cats at La Cresta Mobile Estates near Platte and Murray, where he worked.
He said he was under pressure from tenants to rid the park of stray cats. Police, however, say some were pets.
"The laws pretty clear on this," said Sgt. Steve Noblitt from the Colorado Springs Police Department. "If you needlessly kill animals then you're going to be held accountable for it. So that's what's going on with this situation."
Leisge will be charged with 3 felony counts of animal cruelty.
