Care packages to troops being confiscated

If you send care packages to a loved on who's deployed in Afghanistan, leave out the tobacco.
A new law meant to stop smuggling by mail has inadvertently also halted care packages that include cigarettes and other tobacco products for American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The Prevent All Cigarette Trafficking Act of 2009 took effect June 29, aimed at preventing minors from buying tobacco by mail and hampering smuggling by requiring tracking and ID.
Families and charity groups that send packages are confused by the regulations and the bill's sponsor, Sen. Herb Kohl of Wisconsin, says he's trying to fix the law.
