Basically yesterday's forecast is today's forecast. So we'll call it a carbon copy day! Temperatures will climb to near 90 for Springs, and upper 90s for Pueblo. This heat comes as mostly sunny skies will continue through the afternoon and evening. Like yesterday, Teller County and northern El Paso County could see a stray shower, but most areas stay dry.
The dry weather continues through much of the week. So don't expect much relief from the temperatures in the meantime. Highs Thursday and Friday will stay near 90s for Springs and near 100 for Pueblo. So all the grass, flowers, and vegetation will continue to take a beating. A few spotty showers will start to enter the forecast late in the week, but most of these will hold off until Sunday.
Sunday is when a storm system moves through. This will bring us the rain relief and cooler temperatures. Highs will drop back down to more seasonal temps Sunday into early next week. But with the cool down also comes more clouds and widespread rain showers.
Happy Hump Day... Meteorologist Valerie Abati
