Car hitting pole causes power outage in Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs Police says a car running into a light pole is to blame for a power outage that happened a little after 10:30 last night. Power was out for hours west of Cimarron Street.  That includes the area of St. Vrain Street and West Kiowa Street

Part of Manitou Boulevard was shut down as crews made repairs.

Officers say the vehicle hit one utility pole causing damage to two other poles as well as electrical wires and cables. Police are still searching for the suspect.

Power should be restored.
