CANON CITY, Colo. (AP) - The former executive director of a Canon City family crisis center who pleaded guilty to theft has been sentenced to four years in prison.
Andrea Hammond was sentenced Tuesday. She was accused of embezzling nearly $75,000 from Family Crisis Services. The agency works with victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse.
According to the Canon City Daily Record, the thefts forced the agency to cut back on services.
