Canon City passes initial moratorium on pot dispensaries

On Tuesday, city council members in Canon City unanimously voted to pass a moratorium on licensing medical marijuana dispensaries. The moratorium will last 120-days.
Right now, there's only one dispensary in Canon City--that business is exempt from the ordinance.
City Council must pass a second reading, before the moratorium officially goes into effect. They're expected to vote on the second reading on Feb. 1.
