Canon City man arrested on firearms charges

A Canon City man has been arrested on several federal firearms charges, including possessing a machine gun.
John Joseph Waldron, 34, was arrested by the Fremont County Combined Investigations Response Team in cooperation with the ATF and the CBI.
Charges include possession of a firearm by a felon, possessing a machine gun and possession of an unregistered firearm.
Waldron is now in federal custody awaiting a bond hearing in U.S. District Court.
