FREMONT COUNTY - Officers with the Canon City Police Department arrested a Colorado Springs man Tuesday who had open warrants from both the Springs and California.

The officers were responding to a report of shots being fired at the North 9th Street Storage facility when they found Roger Wayne Houston, 32, and an unidentified woman.

The cops became suspicious when Houston gave them several different names. They found a stolen handgun, drugs, drug paraphernalia and a Halloween mask in his car.

Houston is wanted for failing to appear in traffic court in Colorado Springs and for violating his parole in California.

Officers also seized multiple identification document and detectives with the Combined Investigative Response Team will reportedly be contacting potential identity theft victims from several Southern Colorado counties.

In the meantime, they are asking anyone with information related to Mr. Houston's case to call the Canon City Police Department at 719-276-5600 or Crime Stoppers at 719-275-STOP (7867).
