Cancer survivors receive free makeover in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS- Cancer survivors got a special opportunity Sunday to receive a complete makeover for free.

The Sephora beauty store in the Promenade Shops at Briargate gave several women who are battling breast cancer a one-on-one makeup session to highlight their beauty while they go through radiation and chemotherapy.

"They lose their hair, eyebrows and complexion," Manager Mikki Riggin said. "Their skin changes and when you get into the holiday season when you're going to so many different events and seeing people who may not know you're undergoing treatment, to give them back that sense of themselves just fills me with so much happiness."

Each survivor also received free makeup bags to take home.
