Cancer Society to hold walk in Pueblo Saturday

Donations are down but demand for services is up from the Pueblo County chapter of the American Cancer Society.
Pueblo County residents are encouraged to participate in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk on Saturday, Oct. 16. The event will raise money, educate people about how to reduce their breast cancer risk and celebrate cancer survivors.
"Cancer does not go away in tough economic times," said Deanna Cordo, American Cancer Society staff member. "We are so thankful for how this community has pulled together to ensure that we can continue to serve breast cancer patients and their families here in Pueblo County."
The Cancer Society has programs that support patients, along with donating money to cancer research.
