A man who was diagnosed with cancer almost two years ago is the winner of a Colorado Lottery drawing for nearly $5.4 million.

Colorado Lottery officials say 46-year-old Robert Loch, who lost his job as a dishwasher at a hotel last year, matched all six numbers in the Oct. 10 drawing. He claimed his jackpot Friday. Lottery officials say 80th Avenue Liquors in Commerce City will receive $5,000 for selling the winning ticket.

Loch says he's officially retired and will focus on his health. He plans to share his prize with his family.

Loch has been living with his sister and her family since shortly after being diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma. He says he is undergoing chemotherapy.
