Campgrounds fill up at Lake Pueblo

A popular way to celebrate Memorial Day is with a trip to the lake, and Lake Pueblo brings in a lot of out-of-towners.
"Get away from the city and get out with friends," said Mike Curieo, a Bennet, Colorado resident. "Barbecue and have a good time."
The campground at the lake sold out this weekend.
Many say this is their favorite place to come because they love everything about it, from the lake, to the trails, and even how dog-friendly it is.
Plus, they enjoy exploring Pueblo as well.
"We go down the Arkansas trail," said Martyn Hunt, a Bennett, Colorado resident. "We cycled down yesterday into Pueblo and back and stopped at the café on the way. It's a lovely area. We love it very much."
There's still plenty of room left around the lake from beaches to picnic areas, even though the campground is full.
