A Southern California town has taken a bite out of dog and cat sales.
Shelter animals are the only ones available in West Hollywood. The city council voted unanimously this week to ban stores from selling cats and dogs.
The move is aimed at shutting down puppy and kitten mills.
Pet shops are allowed to offer shelter animals. Currently, pet shops in West Hollywood only sell supplies, like pet food.
