CAÑON CITY — One beauty pageant. 16 competitors. All vying to take home the coveted title- Mr. CCHS.
Cañon City High School seniors Megan Bosisio and Tia Parker are going where no "Tiger" has gone before- organizing the school's first all-male beauty pageant.
"It's going to be interesting," said Bosisio.
They'll have to do it all- formal wear, swimwear, spiritwear, can't forget the talent portion, and even pre-recorded interviews.
"There's some interesting outfits that will be coming out on this stage," said Bosisio.
"We don't necessarily want to make fun of pageants because we think they're fine, but we wanted to make sure it was something the boys would be willing to do as well as entertaining for the crowd," said Parker.
It's not just about winning. All of the money the participants raise will be donated to the charity of their choice.
"In the past we've done Sadie Hawkins as a community fundraiser where the proceeds go to some kind of fundraiser so we decided to try that instead," said Parker.
The girls are hoping it will be a night will be filled with entertainment, laughter, and giving back.
"You're not going to be able to predict this ending at all, or the winner," said Bosisio.
The pageant kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Tickets are $5 each. They will be available at the door.
