You may watch the Super Bowl just for the commercials, or the half-time show, or maybe for the game itself.
It turns out, the favorite part of the Super Bowl for many is the food.
Were you one of those who braved the crowds?
Many of you did just to get those game day snacks.
Thousands of others in our area opted for another football staple: pizza.
"Deliveries, takeouts, a lot," said Robert Vigil, General Manager at Manhattan's. "It get's really busy."
It's all about the ingredients at places like Manhattan's in Pueblo.
"We do an extra batch of dough just to get ready for our specials," said Vigil.
That's because the Super Bowl means many more pizzas than usual.
"Could be anywhere from 200 to 250, sometimes more," said Vigil.
That means they have to bring in more employees.
"Drivers because we get a lot of deliveries," said Vigil. "A lot of people like to stay home and watch the Super Bowl. We do get a crowd when it starts going, we'll get a crowd, but for the most part all delivery and takeouts."
Many dine-in pizza places do have TV's so people can catch the big game.
Nationwide, pizza places like Pizza Hut go through two million pizzas during the Super Bowl.
Papa Murphy's uses 16,000 gallons of sauce and around seven million pepperoni slices across the country.
