Bus service to be temporarily halted tomorrow in Pueblo

Pueblo Transit will show off its new buses tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the Transit Center at 123 Court Street in Pueblo.
The ten new buses were bought using money from several sources, mostly originating at the federal government. They cost about $3.4 million. "The buses are all equipped with wheelchair lifts and a kneeling feature, electronic fare boxes, and will meet or exceed the latest environmental standards by incorporating technologies to reduce exhaust emissions," said Director of Transit Brenda Broyles.
As the buses are unveiled, bus service in Pueblo will be suspended from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
