Pueblo Centennial has a storied history of great cross country runners. We can add another name to that list. Congratulations to Bulldogs senior Carly Moore, this week's "Loaf ‘N Jug High School Athlete of the Week."

Carly won the girls title at the South Central league cross country meet last week in Pueblo in a time of 19:39. She has gotten better each week this season and says it may have been her best race ever. Carly appears to be peaking at just the right time. The state cross country meet is October 30.

Carly, Centennial's student body President, is also a standout in the classroom. She carries a 4.6 grade point average.

Don't forget to nominate your favorite athlete. It's easy fill out the simple online form and submit a picture at NewsFirst5.com in the "Loaf ‘N Jug High School Athlete of the Week" section.
