A bucking bull named "Hard Ball" lived up to his name Sunday evening when he ran through the parking lot at Houston's Reliant Stadium. The bull broke out due to a gate malfunction, around 5:20 p.m. and ran through the parking lot, sending families running for cover.
"People were screaming and running, it was a mess," said Scott Berrett, who was with his children heading to see the Jonas Brothers perform.
Berrett caught the entire incident on camera."Police were trying to Taser him, but that's like trying to hit an alligator with a fly swatter," Berrett said. "It just made him angrier, but it wasn't until the real cowboys came out that got the bull."
Leroy Shafer, the chief operating officer of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, said he has never seen anything like this in his 37 years with the rodeo. "It is something that we will not let happen again," Shafer said. "We're going to spend all night looking at the procedures here."
Wranglers eventually captured the runaway bull, but not without hurting two employees who were transported to the hospital with minor bruising.
