Imagine buffalo roaming through Garden of the Gods.
When buffalo was king of the prairie, Colorado Springs' premiere park was part of its territory. Park volunteer Bette Lamore will give a free lecture on bison on Tuesday at 12 p.m. in the Red Rocks Room of the Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center.
The half-hour program, "Buffalo Ghosts," relates the unique history of this well-traveled grazer.
Continue the conversation with lunch (at your own expense) and enjoy the view at the café.
