Breckenridge issues pet ban for events

BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. (AP) - Pet owners in Breckenridge could face fines of up to $100 if they take their pets to events where pets are prohibited.
The new measure passed by the town council prohibits animals from attending no-pet events unless they are involved in the event,
Breckenridge chief of police Rick Holman tells the Summit Daily News the ban was issued because of safety and food issues.
