Breaking: Suspected burglar shot and killed in Calhan

El Paso County Sheriffs Office officials say a suspected burglar was shot and killed tonight in Calhan.
Detectives are interviewing the homeowners to try to figure out what actually happened after the initial call to 911 that the home on Ellicott Hwy was being burglarized.
They say 55-year-old man who died was flown to an area hospital but later died with a gunshot wound to the stomach area. Authorities are also trying to figure out how the people involved knew each other. Detectives plan to be here for hours overnight and into the early morning hours.
