A child at a Pueblo elementary school reported he was picked up by a stranger yesterday afternoon.
The 10-year-old was outside Cesar Chavez on Pueblo's west side waiting for his mother. He said a man told him his mother had sent him. The boy said he got into the back seat of a gray four-door car and was driven around for awhile. He said he asked the driver to pull over and when the car stopped he got out and ran.
He was found about three and a half miles from the school, near 30th and Baltimore several hours later, after a passerby asked if he needed help.
The child said the man who picked him up was had a dark complexion and was a young adult.
Pueblo Police are investigating.
The school gave a warning today on the dangers of talking to strangers.
