A stricter nudity law is under consideration in Boulder.
The City Council plans to hear a proposal tonight to expand the city's ban on public nudity. The proposed ordinance would apply to anyone older than 10 who
exposes any portion of his or her private parts, including the nipple of a female breast.
Currently, Boulder law bans nudity only at a city lake popular for nude swimming in the 1970s. That ordinance didn't include female toplessness
Officials say that the lack of a local nudity ban means nude partiers face state indecency charges, making them vulnerable to being put on a sex offender registry.
The ordinance has a first reading Tuesday, with a public hearing to come later.
