Body pulled from Arkansas River identified as bank robbery suspect

PUEBLO - A man accused of robbing a bank was found dead in the Arkansas River, according to the Pueblo Police Department.  Jeffrey Cathcart, 40, is accused of robbing the Security Service Bank last Thursday.  Police say Cathcart led them on a foot-chase, taunted them, then jumped into the river near Runyon Lake.

Cathcart's body was spotted in a low point in the river Sunday evening.  Crews were unable to recover it until Monday morning.

The money stolen from the bank was found on Cathcart's body.
