The Arkansas River has been the focus of search efforts for 49-year-old Beth Rice, who went missing two weeks ago.
Saturday morning she was found in the water, dead. However, right now police aren't looking for suspects.
"We don't feel that there's any foul play in this case due to the fact of the condition of the body that she was found in," says Detective Michael DeLaurentis with the Florence Police Department.
DeLaurentis says there are no major signs of trauma and no sign of a struggle on Rice's body.
However, if it wasn't murder, how did her body get into the river? Right now that's still a question without an answer.
"We're going to classify it as an open investigation, but at this time an accidental death," DeLaurentis says.
As for suicide, police say that can't be determined yet. However, DeLaurentis says they're still looking into some specific comments from family and friends to check into that possibility.
For now, one big phase of the investigation is complete.
