Body of Flaming Gorge drowning victim found

MANILA, Utah (AP) - Searchers have found the body of a 35-year-old Colorado man who drowned in Utah's Flaming Gorge Reservoir.
The Deseret News of Salt Lake City reports the body of Chad Runnings of Craig, Colo., was found Friday in the same general area where he was last seen.
Daggett County sheriff's spokeswoman Karen Peterson says Runnings drowned late Thursday afternoon while swimming with a friend after high winds carried their boat away. She says Runnings had a life jacket on at the time but gave it to a friend while the two attempted to retrieve the boat. A short time later, the friend saw Runnings go under the water and not resurface. Efforts to find his body were unsuccessful Thursday night.
