Police say a female body was pulled from the waters of the Delaware River near the site of a collision between an amphibious tour boat and a 250-foot barge that left two people missing.
Coast Guard Petty Officer Crystal Kneen says the body was recovered early Friday just north of the Walt Whitman Bridge in Philadelphia. Police say the body was spotted by a fishing boat. The Coast Guard says the Philadelphia Fire Department pulled the body from the water at around 4:45 a.m. A duck boat carrying 37 people was struck and sunk by a barge Wednesday. Two Hungarian passengers are missing, 16-year-old Dora Schwendtner and 20-year-old Szabolcs Prem. T
he body has not yet been identified, and authorities could not immediately say whether it was that of the missing teenage girl.
