Body found in Fountain Creek

Police have found a man dead in Fountain Creek near Nevada and I-25.

He is believed to be in his 50's, but no identity has been given at this time.

Police tell us they spotted the man around 4:20 this morning.

The difficult terrain made it hard to reach him quickly on the bank, according to police.

Once they got to him around 4:55 am they determined he was deceased.

They do not know at this time if he was deceased when they first saw him.

They are still on scene investigating.
