Body Found in Car Outside of Jail in Arapahoe Co

LITTLETON, Colo. (AP) - Deputies in suburban Denver found a dead body in the trunk of a car  parked outside the jail and arrested the driver on a murder charge. The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Department says 40-year-old Robert L. Johnson of Byers went to the jail Saturday to surrender on an outstanding warrant from another, unspecified incident.

When deputies checked Johnson's car, they saw what appeared to be explosives and ordered the evacuation of nearby buildings. After a bomb squad determined there were no explosives, deputies searched the vehicle and found the body in the truck. The victim's name hasn't been released. Johnson is being held without bail. It wasn't immediately known whether he had a lawyer.
