Body found in Arkansas River north of Salida

Workers from the Arkansas Valley Headwaters Recreational District, plus several agencies, including the Colorado Springs Fire Department have recovered a body in the Arkansas River north of Salida. The newest reports out are that the CSFD dive team actually discovered the body.
Kimberly Appelson, 23, was on a private raft when she disappeared near the "Frog Rock Rapid" in the river on July 11, 2010. The workers built a small dam to temporarily redirect the river to allow safer access to that rapid.
The operation was done now because the summer run off is over and the river level is lower.
