A body was discovered in Greeley Wednesday morning in an area that had been searched twice for a missing 12-year-old girl.
According to the Greeley Tribune, the body was found in a ditch by a worker who was routinely checking it following a heavy storm. The worker opened a gate of the ditch and found the badly decomposed body.
Kayleah Wilson, 12, has been missing since March. She disappeared while walking to a friend's birthday party. The body was discovered less than a mile from her home.
The Weld County Coroner's Office and police are investigating.
