Police have charged a neighbor with digging up the body of an elderly woman's twin sister after police discovered two bodies in the woman's rural Pennsylvania home last month.

Court records show that 62-year-old James Flanagan was charged Wednesday with abuse of a corpse, a misdemeanor, and issued a summons. The bodies of James Stevens and June Stevens were discovered in the Wyalusing home of Jean Stevens, 91, last month. Pennsylvania State Police say Flanagan dug up the body of June Stevens in October and helped move the corpse to her sister's home.

The body of Jean's husband, James, was disinterred a decade earlier. Police say that they have identified those who dug up the husband's body but that charges won't be filed because the statute of limitations has expired.
