BBQ masters take time to honor our nation at this year's Boats, Bands, and BBQ in Pueblo.
Everyone was signaled toward the flag for the playing of the national anthem Saturday morning.
There was no denying the smell of BBQ everywhere, and those who cook it say the competition is always fun, plus, they know what makes it best.
"Temperature and smoke," said David Purdy, a BBQ competition participant with Lost Weekend Grill out of Arvada, Colorado. "You have to have it tender, and you have to have a good smoky flavor to it in order for it to be really good BBQ, and then the sauce is third."
Events wrapped up Saturday on the Riverwalk, and our own Rob Quirk and Adam Atchison endured the heat for some fun!
