Southern Colorado Indoor BMX is partnering with Pikes Peak BMX to kick off this year's indoor racing season. The event begins on Friday and will span several weekends through April. It is free and open to the public.

Various events will include Bicycle Moto Cross (BMX), Mountain Bike (MTB), Mountain Board (MBX) and even Strider bike races for children ages five and under. "Our goal is to promote new rider development while supporting the Colorado Springs community, helping children stay active in the winter months and providing them with positive role models," says event director Bubba Hayes.

BMX riders range in age from as young as 3 to well into the 60s.
