Black Hawk casino sold to Nevada firm

BLACK HAWK, Colo. (AP) - The owner of the Riviera Black Hawk casino is selling the casino for $76 million to a casino operator out of Reno, Nev.

Monarch Casino & Resort says it believes the Colorado casino located west of Denver offers an opportunity to grow.

Riviera Holdings filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last year. It also owns the Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
