Consider this a verbal warning -- if you don't want bears in your yard, take down your bird feeders.
Parks and Wildlife says bears are coming out of hibernation and searching for food this time of year.
"Bears are always looking for an easy meal and they're going to go wherever that may be," says Abbie Walls, with Parks and Wildlife.
She says you should be careful about leaving garbage out as well. If bears know they can grab food in your neighborhood, they'll identify it as a food source and come back for more.
Walls says you should never approach a bear if you seen one, instead throw small stones or yell at it to make if feel uncomfortable.
