Expect another nice day today with mostly sunny skies and above average highs in the 50s. It'll be on the breezy side Monday and Tuesday as temperatures remain above average and conditions stay dry.
A big shift in the pattern across our region starts Wednesday as colder air gets pulled into the state from the north behind a passing cold front. Light snow showers are possible over the lower elevations Wednesday and then again on Thursday though moisture will be somewhat limited with this passing system. The mountains look to receive a good dose of snow during the middle of the week.
The big story for the second half of the week will be the extreme cold. Thursday through Saturday will be very frigid with morning lows in the single digits and afternoon highs in the teens. This will be the coldest air of the season and the coldest temperatures we've seen since last winter, so be prepared!
