TODAY: More moisture in the air means a better chance of some storms this afternoon and early this evening. Today will actually be our best chance of storms for about the next 5-7 days! 40% chance of thundershowers over the Rampart Range & Teller County as well as for the Wet and Sangre de Cristo Mountains. In Colorado Springs, Canon City, Walsenburg and Trinidad will see, a better, 30% chance for storms. For Pueblo and the rest of southeastern Colorado storms chances would be at about 20% or less.
TONIGHT: A mix of clouds and clear skies and low temps in the lower 60's for Pueblo and Colorado Springs.
SATURDAY: A cool front will continue to head in our direction...as it does you notice breezy and hot conditions here locally. Temps tomorrow in the Springs will soar to 91 and in Pueblo 98....much hotter than average. As the front approaches you'll notice that the winds will increase from the north/northwest during the afternoon. Some gusts will exceed 25 mph in spots. Lower chances tomorrow in most cases....30-40% chance over the mountains, 20% in the Springs and only a 10-20% chance in Pueblo. Cool front arrives late in the day and into the evening....thankfully!
SUNDAY: Behind that front it will be about 7-10 degrees cooler compared to Saturday. Chances for storms will be much lower...including for the Pikes Peak Hill Climb. On the peak a 30% chance of storms. 20% for Colorado Springs and 10% chance or less for Pueblo and the eastern plains.
MONDAY-TUESDAY: Still mild to start next week. A little better chance for a couple of storms...especially closer to the mountains and higher elevations.
Have a great weekend!
