Beer fest brings out Colorado's best brews

Hundreds gather in Colorado Springs to enjoy one of our states tastiest industries, beer. It's all a part of the All Colorado Beer Festival. "I think there's nowhere else you can go to find so many different styles of beers as you can in the front range of Colorado." says microbiologist and Bristol Brewing employee Ken Andrews.

Colorado's brewers are pumping out the suds as fast as the thirsty public can drink them "Colorado is one of the premier brewing states in the country." explains Randy Dipner, the brew fest organizer, "We brew more beer per capita than other state in the union." From new breweries like Grimm Brothers and Black Fox to the veterans like Twisted Pine and New Belgium, Colorado has emerged as a giant in the industry.

But beer fests like the All Colorado aren't just about the brews. It's also about the common bond and experience shared by every craft beer lover. "It's way more than just tossing back a six pack." says Dipner, "There's a real spirit among all of us that are beer drinkers, beer brewers and beer lovers." Adds Andrews, "If you want to put the effort into it and put your own soul into it, you can do that with beers."
