Federal stimulus money will be used to beautify a highway interchange on Pueblo's east side.

The project is located at the interchange of State Highway 47, State Highway 96 and U.S. 50 Bypass. It will include planting of trees and shrubs, installation of topsoil, seeding with native grassland grass and the installation of an automatic sprinkler system.

The total budget for the project is just over $437,000, with all but $56,000 coming from federal funds.

The construction is expected to last 60 days and will begin immediately.
