Bear takes a snooze in Springs backyard

A group of teens in one Colorado Springs neighborhood got quite a surprise Thursday, when they came across a bear in a yard. The bear was camping out on Busch Avenue, near 21st Street, on the city's west side.
Michael Brown, age 13, was one of the first kids to spot the big bear. "We came here, we saw a big bear laying down... Awesome!" he exclaimed.
The bear seemed more interested in a quick nap than much of anything else. Since he was not causing any trouble, Division of Wildlife officers did not respond to the scene.
