When a Wisconsin potato farmer and logger teamed up to rescue a black bear with its head stuck in a milk can, they never imagined the reaction their efforts would get.
"It got a little more action than we thought we were going to get," says potato farmer Dennis West.
Bears may be a common sight on his farm, but a bear struggling with a milk can on its head, is something else.
"He was actually walking around with it on his head like a cow with a bucket on his head, he was walking around with it then he'd sit down and try to pull it off almost like Winnie the Pooh does with that honey jar," explains Garrett Smith, a logger who also witnessed it.
So the two guys had an idea to take their forwader used for lifting wood, and remove the 35 pound milk can from the distressed bear's head.
