Icy weather draws tourists outside

As much of Colorado hunkered into their seats for some Denver Broncos overtime football, many non-Coloradans enjoyed what Colorado had to offer outside beyond Invesco Field.

"I've never seen such beauty before," says Tina Wessel, of Iowa. "You forget about how cold it is when you see this beauty.  Taking pictures - it's just not the same."

Wessel, and several others took pictures of Helen Hunt Falls Sunday afternoon in Colorado Springs, amid frosty green leaves, icy fences, and snowy trees.

Angela Woodard is from east Texas, and says she loved looking at the frozen scenery.  Her teeth chattered during our conversation.

"When I left Thursday, it was 81.  Then I got out here, and it was like this," says Woodard. "My sons live in Colorado, so it's worth it to be cold to see them."

The forecast calls for warmer weather Monday.
