Bank robbed at gunpoint in Fountain

Fountain Police report that People's National Bank, on Mesa Ridge Parkway, was robbed at gunpoint just after 9 a.m.

According to Cdr. Mike Haley, Fountain Police Department, "The robber pointed a gun at a teller and demanded money. The teller complied and the robber departed with an undisclosed amount of money in a black duffel bag. There are no reported injuries. The robber left on foot and was last seen running northeast towards Janitell Junior High School. The school was closed due to the weather conditions."

A tracking dog followed the suspect's scent to the area of Sneffels & Woodstock Streets when the dog lost the scent.

No arrests have been made.
