Aurora seeks a ban on backyard burials

AURORA, Colo. (AP) - The Aurora City Council is considering a ban on backyard burials.
Colorado law allows burials almost anywhere in the state as long as it's not on federal land.
According to KMGH-TV, the council wants to limit burials to cemeteries.
City Councilwoman Renie Peterson says people could tie up city resources if they find a body and call police.
Peterson says there have been no complaints, but she wants to avoid problems in the future.
