Aurora police officer injured

AURORA - There was an officer injured in Aurora Friday afternoon.

The incident took place near I-225 and East Alameda Boulevard.

Aurora Police say the officer was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is in custody.  No information on how the officer was injured or what the situation was that lead to the injury has been released yet.

Westbound Alameda Boulevard is closed at Abilene Street while the investigation continues. The southbound I-225 off ramp to Alameda Boulevard is closed. (Photo:KUSA)
